Memorial Service for Christopher MacKenzie
Christopher MacKenzie was one of five California natives among the Granite Mountain Hotshot firefighters who died in the catastrophic Yarnell Hills Fire in central Arizona.
Chris MacKenzie, 30, grew up in Hemet and sought to follow in his dad’s footsteps. His father was retired CAL FIRE Captain Michael MacKenzie. Christopher worked for the U.S. Forest Service before joining the Prescott Hotshots.
The memorial service for Christopher MacKenzie will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 6:00PM at the Ramona Bowl Ampitheater, 27400 Ramona Bowl Road, Hemet, CA 92544.
