CA-BTU-Neal IC Butte County Aircraft down with fire extended to vegetation 15 acres. two fatalities #CaFire

CA-BTU-NealUpdate 1615h: Now reporting two fatalities in the plane crash Butte County Cal Fire has stated in a press release this evening the size of the blaze as a result of a fatal plane crash was estimated to 21 acres from the original 10-15 acres. The release also stated around 11:36 a.m. two unidentified individuals in a plane crashed in Hamlin Canyon just south of Neal Road, killing both individuals. The 21-acre fire took roughly three hours to contain. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the crash investigation.Update 1515h: Fire Contained, releasing Copter 205 back to Vina.
Update 1145h: 10 to 15 acres, Requesting 4 additional crews, total of 4 WT's and 2 additional type III engines. Aircraft located in burn consumed to frame. Searching for souls on board. Fire backing into Bluff. IC thinks they can handle with additional ordered equipment. Tankers in orbit or released.Update 1215h: 15 acres, 80% contained, expect 100 within an hour or two. 10-15 acres, aircraft located in the middle of the burn, nothing remains but framework, checking for souls on board at this time.
